Another nice November day…
although you can tell from the sky that a change is coming.
Pretty typical day….approximately 100 Bald Eagles scattered over the gravel bars…in some places they were sitting almost shoulder to shoulder..
another look at some of the activity. No sign of any Swans again although I understand there are quite a few in near by Harrison Bay.
Lots of Gulls again…this one working on a very dead salmon carcass! Pair of Mallards in the background. Ducks today were pretty typical, over a hundred Mallard scattered along the foreshore, about half that many American Wigeon and about the same number of Green Wing Teal. A couple of Heron and a Belted Kingfisher pretty much rounded out the species count. Fairly quiet in the bushes except for Black Cap Chickadee’s and could hear Golden Crowned Kinglets in one of the cedar groves.
This month is all about eagles, so took these of the only Bald Eagle sitting in one of the eagle trees today – had to doctor this shot a fair bit as the bird was sitting in the shade…
