Pretty much a ‘gull’ day….

another sunny day

Another beautiful sunny day and with temperatures hovering around the 15 degree mark (Celsius that is), it sure doesn’t feel much like November!

Earlier this area had been occupied by a hundred or so Canada Geese, by the time I got for a walk, later than my usual time….it was full of American Wigeon and Mallards….

Gulls in the sunshine

The most predominant bird this afternoon were Glaucous Wing Gulls….there were a few Eagles out there but more of them were off enjoying the sunshine and the brisk breeze coming out of the northwest.

more glaucous wings

Some more of the gulls.  I did spot a couple of Northern Harrier today and the bushes along the trail were full of Bush Tits mixed with Chickadees.

One item of note:  I didn’t see it, but two people did….a Cougar was seen right in the residential area this morning.  Not surprising….they like Salmon too!   I’d love to see it – from a safe distance that is!
