Another snowfall

Yet another snowfall....

but maybe the last? as the atmosphere seems to be changing.  Lots of bird song from one end of our walk to the other...

this male Anna's Hummingbird was in his usual spot...

while this young one was cuddled up down in the blackberries.  There were a bunch of House Finch in the same area, but not as cooperative as this little guy was.

here was the log bay this morning...

there was a Great Blue Heron down at the edge of the water....

after lunch we headed over to Harrison Bay...

the 2 Bald Eagle pair were in pretty much the same spots as the last visit....

a lot more Canada Geese around today.  Some on the beach like this one, but some in the fields and flying around being quite vocal.  More Swans today too than there were last visit.

lot's of American Wigeon on the river.

also, quite a few Northern Pintail.

I had hoped for more activity from little birds....and there were more Spotted Towhee visible, and heard a Bewick's Wren but couldn't spot it....but at least that was a change.

The female Evening Grosbeak continues to visit us at home and today a couple of Pine Siskin showed up....so things do seem to be changing....slowly.
