Another sunny day, the 3rd in a row…which is something of a record this winter!
Just not a lot going on bird-wise…
a few Mallard, a few Green Wing Teal….I thought I saw a Robin down by the water, but when I looked again whatever it was, was gone… They should be showing up pretty soon.
Gold-crowned Kinglets, Chickadees and Red-wing Blackbirds…just the usual and not that many of them. Am showing these ‘trail’ pictures because the appearance of the trail will change dramatically as spring progresses.
Should mention seeing a pair of Bald Eagles with locked talons…they tumbled right into the water…unfortunately didn’t have a camera ready. I think this locked talon thing is part of a courting ritual…it is that time of year…Eagles tend to nest early.
