Swans! and water

After an incredible amount of rain overnight, not to mention an enormous clap of thunder early this morning....

this was the scene this morning with water creeping up the boat launch.

and out there, the flats are disappearing with the Bald Eagles concentrated in the dry areas.

path to the park is now underwater.

lots of Canada Geese

and way up in the corner....a pair of Swans....2 far away to make out if they were Tundra or Trumpeter....the first of the season, in our area, at least.

a pair of Mallard and a male Hooded Merganser as well.  The female was out of the picture.

and we have more rain in the forecast.
