The last few days have been pretty wet so it is a case of dashing out for a walk when it lets up a bit....
which was the case this afternoon. You can see the log bay is now a 'bay' again....
the pair of Swans were closer so could confirm these ones are Trumpeters. Still no sign of anymore.
You can see in the background that there are good numbers of Bald Eagles out there now...
more and more hanging about in the trees as well like these 'twins'
Sunday we took a walk at Harrison Bay. Not a lot of bird activity, but notice down at the edge of the bay....
a Great Blue Heron.....
over in the fields....
all the gulls that had been resting on sandbars out in the bay, are now in the fields as the sandbars are back underwater.
This Northern Harrier was busy scanning the fields as well.
Yesterday, over at the park....
lots of Canada Geese, I think a few Cackling Geese in there too.
A Belted Kingfisher over there as well.
I would like to come for photos of bald eagles. How long a lens should I take to get a good shot?
ReplyDeleteCan't really say as it depends on where the birds are. Can say that all the photos I've posted are taken with a very old Canon Power shot camera with 35X zoom which I think is about the equivalent of 500mm I then do a bit of cropping as well on some of them.
