Thigh high snow

So I wish I could show you what the estuary looks like right now....

but that is as close as I can get!  The snow is thigh high.  Someone needs to break a trail and so far everyone is too busy trying to dig out their vehicles and clear the roads than to think of venturing out there.

there were a number of Bald Eagles perched in near by trees when we ventured out....this being one of them.

and remember we were wondering where.....

the Varied Thrush were?  Well all it took was some snow....we had over a dozen in our tiny yard at any time today.

Another 'first of the season' was....

this Fox Sparrow....photos taken through my window so not as crisp and clear as they could be.  It has been a full time job putting out seed and replenishing the suet supply, not to mention....

keeping the Anna's Hummingbirds supplied with unfrozen 'juice'.

Right now it is snowing again out there....
