Eagle numbers increasing

Managed to actually get out for a walk today and the numbers of birds out on the flats was encouraging...

way out there is the Fraser Valley Safari jet boat....going to have to try to get out on one of their eagle viewing trips this year as it has been a while and it is obvious that 'over there' is where the bulk of the Bald Eagles are.....

Just look out there!

Of course there were also some nearer to hand...

this guy was up in one of the 'eagle trees'....

in another area, first there were two....

then there were three....

and eventually, four.

Noticed quite a few Raven flying about, in fact there seem to be more raven than normal this winter...

the little group of Northern Shoveler were there again...the male, in the lead is getting closer and closer to being in breeding plumage - note all those human footprints in the mud....they shouldn't be there!!!
