Storm one done

Well the first of the predicted storms arrived right on schedule....

and left this afternoon....not much sign of it's passing.  No wind with that one just some rain resulting in a lot of....

dripping wet Bald Eagles, just about everywhere you looked.

not exactly ideal conditions for crisp, clear pictures.

Not a lot of activity.  Not a single goose out there today and just a few ducks....

did manage to capture a Mew Gull today.  There was a Common Merganser in the same spot....both 'fishing' for salmon eggs probably.

On the walk back....

this young Marsh Wren flew across the path and landed in the bushes.

and speaking of crossing paths....take a look at this Wooley Bear Caterpillar....I've heard that you can tell how bad a winter is going to be by the amount of black....if that is the case - boy are we going to have a winter!

another sign of winter...

numbers of Steller's Jay are climbing rapidly.  These were just some of them out there today once the rain stopped.
