Blustery day

We weren't sure what to expect given today's weather forecast so went for a bit of a walk early while it wasn't raining.....

and there is that water....just not budging from current high levels.

only birds visible were these two Canada Geese and a Gull out on a log.

After lunch it was still dry so we decided to go over to Kilby.....it had been calm up our way but the wind was sure blowing over at Harrison Bay.

This Bald Eagle was  having a battle with the wind trying to carry this salmon.....

the wind was so strong that we didn't dare walk near the trees so ended up heading back home but took a short drive up the road...

you could see there was some weather moving down the valley....

there was one Great Blue Heron out in the grass....and another perched in a tree...

but that was pretty much it for birds.

By the way....I think yesterday I said that this years Eagle Festival is on the 14th and 15th....that is wrong...it is the 15th and 16th... not that it makes a lot of difference and this...

is one of the reasons this fall is the way it is....November 6th and it was 17 degrees out there.
